flydubai is a government-owned airline based in Dubai. Operating a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft from Dubai International (DXB), it serves many cities across the Gulf, the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, the Indian subcontinent and Europe, including destinations that larger carriers do not serve. It has a codeshare partnership with Emirates.

Hub and network

flydubai operates mainly from Terminal 2 at DXB, while some flights use Terminal 3. Your booking and boarding pass show the terminal; allow extra time if you are connecting between terminals.

Baggage allowance

From flydubai’s official hand baggage page (hand baggage is included in all fares):

  • Economy: one bag up to 7 kg and 55 x 38 x 20 cm.
  • Business: two bags up to 14 kg in total, no single piece over 7 kg.
  • Personal item: one laptop bag, small handbag or satchel up to 25 x 33 x 20 cm, counted within your hand baggage allowance and stowed under the seat.
  • Duty-free: one shopping bag, also counted within the allowance.
  • Infants (where the fare includes baggage): 5 kg of hand baggage.
  • Power banks: one, up to 100 Wh, in hand baggage only, and it cannot be used or charged in flight.

Excess hand baggage at the gate is charged. Checked baggage depends on your fare: see the checked baggage page.

Check-in

From flydubai’s online check-in page: online check-in on the website or app runs from 48 hours to 75 minutes before departure, and airport check-in closes 60 minutes before departure.

Seats, meals and onboard service

What is included (seat choice, meals, checked bags) depends on the fare type in Economy; Business Class includes more services. Check your fare’s inclusions before you fly.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Change and refund options depend on the fare type; manage your booking on flydubai.com or in the app.
