Airport Transfer Cost Calculator
How it works and tips
How it works
Choose the type of transport, the number of travellers and whether you need one journey or a return, then enter the price you found on the operator’s or the airport’s website or were quoted. The calculator does the arithmetic that is easy to get wrong when comparing options:
- Public transport: fare per person ร travellers ร journeys.
- Taxi: fare per vehicle ร the number of vehicles your group needs (based on the passengers per vehicle you set) ร journeys.
- Private transfer: priced either per vehicle or per person, as your quote states.
- Rental car: daily rate ร rental days, plus your fuel and parking or toll estimates.
Tips, luggage supplements or booking fees can be added per journey. The result shows the total and the cost per traveller, formatted in the currency you enter.
Why there are no stored prices
Taxi tariffs, airport train fares and transfer prices change, differ by time of day and are often set locally. Rather than show figures that may be out of date, FANOUSS does not store fares: every number in the result comes from you. Choosing a city adds links to its guide, its country guide and, where we have one, our airport guide with transport notes.

Frequently asked questions
When is a taxi cheaper than public transport?
Often for groups: a taxi fare is shared, while a public transport fare is paid by each person. Enter both and compare the cost per traveller.
Does the rental car option include insurance?
Only if you include it in the daily rate you enter. Check the deposit, insurance excess and fuel policy in the rental terms.
